Lab Supply is proud to have sponsored the University of Canterbury’s Annual Biology Conference (ABC), which took place last Thursday. The conference is an important event for the university, showcasing innovative research from students in the School of Biological Sciences. This year’s conference exceeded expectations with a series of impressive talks that highlighted the hard work and dedication of the students.
We were especially pleased to sponsor the PhD - Overall Prize, which was awarded to Jemima Ganderton for an outstanding presentation titled “Tears and Parkinson’s disease: towards a non-invasive biomarker.” Jemima’s research explores a promising new approach in the quest for early and less invasive diagnostics for Parkinson’s disease. It was an honor to see Jemima receive the award from the Acting Executive Dean of Science, Matthew Turnbull.
Supporting research initiatives like the Annual Biology Conference is a key part of our commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in New Zealand’s scientific community and we look forward to seeing the continued growth and contributions from these talented young researchers!
