  • A Bright Future in Bioengineering: Supporting Emerging Fields

Article

The University of Otago’s Dunedin campus was recently buzzing with energy as researchers, students, and industry leaders from across Aotearoa came together for the Bioengineering Symposium and 3D Biofabrication Workshop, hosted by the Centre for Bioengineering & Nanomedicine. Over two days, participants explored cutting-edge developments in bioengineering, 3D bioprinting, and interdisciplinary science shaping the future of healthcare and biotechnology.

Lab Supply was proud to be part of the event, with Bridget, Jackson, Adam, and Tobias heading across town to join the discussions, demonstrations, and networking opportunities. Our involvement highlighted Lab Supply’s ongoing commitment to supporting New Zealand’s scientific community and staying closely connected to emerging innovations in the field.

The Symposium featured a dynamic program that included expert talk from leading researchers, hands-on 3D biofabrication workshops, and an impressive lineup of poster presentations from postgraduate students. Throughout every session, the passion and creativity of the presenters shone through, reflecting a thriving research ecosystem dedicated to solving real-world challenges.
