Visual control of alkaline lysis has never been easier before! LySee is a simple visual control system that prevents common handling errors of incomplete cell resuspension, inefficient cell lysis and incomplete precipitation of unwanted cell components.

Direct visual control of cell resuspension, lysis and neutralisation with LySee.

Addition of transparent purple suspension buffer makes the bacterial cell pellet easy to localise. Along the resuspension process solution turns turbid light pink. Upon addition of lysis bufer the solution turns violet. Cell lysis is complete when the solution reaches a homogenous transparent violet appearance. Addition of neutralisation buffer causes the LySee reagent to turn yellowish. No traces of the violet colour indicate the most effective SDS precipitation
